LED line® was the first brand in Poland which used SAMSUNG CSP (chip scale package) LEDs. The CSP LM102A component was used to produce new LED line® lamps from the CERAMIC series.

Samsung presented modern CSP technologies for the first time at LIGHTFAIR International 2015 in Seoul.

The main advantage of the CSP is the use of a modern compact body with a 1.34 x 1.34 mm diode. In comparison to a traditional SMD, the modern CSP technology is even 4 times smaller. Thanks to the contact pad placed in the lower part of the body, the CSP diode does not need an additional casing and does not have microwires as in case of SMD technology.

The CSP LED has a low thermal resistance which combined with the component assembly on the ceramic housing ensures long-term, trouble-free operation. The high level of thermal conductivity means that the diode can work at higher currents, thus achieving high luminous efficiency at over 100 lm / W.

The brightness of the CSP LED has increased to 140 ° thanks to the luminophore covering not only the upper part but also the side edges of the diode. An additional optical advantage of the CSP LED is the emission of light from five sides which increases the value of CBCP (Center Beam Candela Power), whereas, the SMD diode only emits the light from the upper side of the body.
