On 17th October at the department of architecture at Warsaw University of Technology took place an ingenious ‘GLOW’ PERFORMANCE BY LIWIA BARGIEL. LED line® brand has contributed as one of main sponsors for the show.

MODULAR LIGHT CLOUD is an outcome of Architecture for Society Knowledge Summer School, under guidance of two architects:  Jacek Markusiewicz and Marcin Strzała. Talented, young designers had merged parametric programming with modern dance to create an unique effect that will dazzle viewers.

To create the module LED Line® strips 300 SMD 3528 neutral white have been used. LED strips have been placed in LED PEN aluminium profiles that joined together, formed geometric figures. Power up or down cycles and power output have been adjusted by several processors equipped with sound sensors. Built module acts as a background and main stage prop for the modern dance artist Liwia Bargieł’s performance. The project has been implemented to react to every sound the artist makes. It is modern version of a music box, where we have a live dancer inside that acts as a heart of the instrument. The artist tries to focus the attention on her performance. During the spectacle we observe as the artist makes and effort to stand out and yet create her image. Will the instrument remain in sync with the artist or one will overwhelm the other?

We would like to thank all of the guests that came to see the performance. We hope that you have had a great time.
